Did you take any pictures at our Field Day site at Flag Pole Hill? If you did, now’s the time to share! Send pictures—or better, links to your on-line albums—to editor at w5fc.org. Act fast; he’ll be putting the July newsletter together very soon!
We had 1,106 contacts this year, a 6% increase over 2015. We have 3,766 QSO points, a 15% increase. Our claimed score, with bonuses, will be 5,116 points.
The band conditions at the start of the event were really lousy. Everyone who stuck with it and made contacts should feel proud!
But no matter how proud we feel, next year will be even better. That’s the way it is in the DARC!
[One caution…the Field Marshals have warned me they’ll be double checking my late-night math and that the numbers above are just preliminary. Watch this space for updates!]
A special “Thank You!” goes out to all who worked on the planning, set-up, implementation, support and breaking it all down and putting away for another year.
Thank you! If you helped with set up, take down, radio operations, or meals…and also if you offered moral support and good fellowship: thank you for participating in Field Day! The preliminary statistics from our logging software are below.
