The DARC is planning a Winter Field Day 2019 outing. WFD 2019 runs for 24hrs starting 1 pm local Dallas Jan 26, 2019. Additional details and rules on Winter Field Day can be found on the Winter Field Day Association site here. This is a rain or shine event since we will operate indoors details below. This year the DARC is joining up with two other local area HAM Radio Clubs (Irving and Metrocrest) to participate in Winter Field Day 2019. As a group we will be running under the special event call sign K5M as 4I (four Indoor) and we will be operating from 1pm local time until midnight Saturday Jan 26, 2019. We will be cozy and warm indoors at the Farmer Branch Fire Department’s Administration Building located at 13333 Hutton Dr, Farmers Branch TX. Parking outside the red lines in the light gray area is preferred. Setup starts at 10AM Sat Jan 26, 2019. Will be ready for on-air activities starting at 1pm.
