We’ve received a last-minute request to help the Denton County Amateur Radio Association. They have a public service event coming up this Saturday, Sept. 30th, 2017. Gerald Marchant of DCARA says:

We need at least 5 more operators to help out with the Emmit Smith Gran Fondo Bicycle Ride this coming Saturday morning. http://emmittsmithgranfondo.com/

It starts at the Rough Riders Stadium, 7300 Roughriders Trail, Frisco, TX 75034. Riders will be on several courses from Frisco up through Prosper and Celina in NW Collin county, and west into Denton county across the Ray Roberts Dam and Aubrey.

Talk in will be on the 146.92 repeater. Look for the DCARA eCOMM-701 Communications trailer which will be on site by 05:30 am.

Help is needed with roving and SAG wagon communications. You do NOT have to be an ARES member to participate. Can’t stay all day? Come on out and help as long as you can.
