Lecture and Lab: “Building Patch Cables” August 27th, 10AM – 3PM

hqdefault

Our next “Lecture and Lab” will be building up patch cables for your ham radio projects.

VUNUE CHANGE:  We will be in the cafeteria which is WEST of the main entrance.

Don’t go spending tons of money for too short or too long commercially built patch cables.  Make some up the “right” size.   We’ll have a supply of RG58U cable along with PL259 connectors (with UG-175 reducers) – a whole bunch.

If you want something more hefty, bring your own RG-8U and we’ll set you up with plain old PL259’s.

We’ll help each other to build the number one thing you need in your shack next to your radio and antenna; coaxial patch cables.

Two PL-259 with UG-175 insert is $6.00.

RG-58U coax is 50 cents a foot.

You may bring your own coax and/or connectors.

We never make any money off project fees.

If there is a surplus (which is almost never) it’s plowed into the next Lecture and Lab.

VUNUE CHANGE:  We will be in the cafeteria which is WEST of the main entrance.
