Major Bill Allison, US Air Force pilot takes the X-80 up for a sub-orbital flight. Though he loses radio contact he returns to his base and finds it abandoned! “Where is everyone?”, he wonders out loud.
He heads towards a city off in the distance! Is that “Big Tex” in a space helmet? Sure looks like him. Wow, a big Ferris wheel amongst a plethora of 30’s era buildings – the 2030’s. Major Allison is suddenly attacked. When he comes to, his wallet is missing.
