Anderson Power Pole Workshop
Join the DARC for Lecture and Lab February 24, 2024 from 10am until 2pm. This will be an Anderson Power Pole Workshop – This Workshop will give you a complete overview of Anderson Power Poles and how they are used in HAM Radio. Participants will have a choice of building two kits: one kit has eight different essential Power Pole accessories and handy bag and the other kit is a fused distribution box complete with a volt meter and USB charge ports. You can purchase either kit or both. Builders will need to come to the Dallas Medical Center Feb 24, 2024 from 10:00 am – 2 pm ish to assemble their kits . First come first served and is open to anybody licensed or not, and you do not need to be a member of the DARC to attend.
Lecture and Lab participants will have the choice of purchasing and building either of the two kits.
Power Pole accessories kit that includes ALL: inline volt meter, polarity checker, compact distribution box, 4 pin radio power cable, 2 pin T radio power cable, heavy duty alligator extension/battery cable, 3 foot extension cable and a 150A inline power analyzer/meter. The accessory kit utilizes HQ 12awg silicon wire and Anderson Power Pole connectors. Everything fits inside the included canvas bag. Kit cost is $50.00
Fused Power Pole Distribution Box comes complete with a volt meter and usb charge ports and a PCB board to make assembly easy and fast. The box is rated for 40Amps total/max. Kit cost is $40.00
The DARC has 20 kits of each item, you may purchase one or the other, or both.
Builders are strongly encouraged to have some Anderson Power Pole Crimpers and cable strippers on hand to terminate the cables and connectors. Some items require soldering – so be sure to have your soldering gear and other necessary items to complete the assemble of the kits. In addition, a hot glue gun is needed and of course a volt/ohm meter is handy always. Don’t worry if you don’t have any of that stuff – there will be extras on hand so you can get building.

- 18″ 12awg cable with heavy duty alligator/battery clips and power poles
- Radio 2 pin T- power Connector with 18″ of cable and power poles
- Radio 4 pin power connector with 18″ of cable and power poles.
