The End-Fed Half-Wave tuner we built at yesterday’s lecture and lab really does work! I disconnected the tuner from my base rig and cut some wires to the “30 meter” length printed on the PCB. The half-wave wire was tied to an old railroad spike that I threw up into a pecan tree. The counterpoise is sort of lying on the back deck.

Tuning Up For Field Day 2016

Bill talked to NPOTA activators and then DX from Italy, Belgium and more.
Sunday At White Rock
A group of us will meet at White Rock Lake Park in Dallas June 5, 2016 around 10:30am for antenna test/setup and radio gobox shake down. Will try the TP Hill Pavilion first but it is sold out or in use monitor the 442.425 machine for the alternate site.
