For April 2024 the DARC Lecture and Lab will be out at Custer Park in Richardson TX for a Radio in the park day. We will NOT be at the Dallas Medical Center. This is a SHINE ONLY event. This event is a GO and is taking place since it looks like the weather will hold (updated 4/26 @ 19:45pm cst)

Plan on meeting at 10:00 am at Custer Park  (32.996028, -96.731417)  Sat Apr 27, 2024 on the west side at/in the pavilion.   This is an open invite and anybody that wants to enjoy some time in the park and play around with HAM Radio things is welcome to attend – licensed or not, bring what ever radio/gear you want or just show up for fun.  Fun could include: POTA/SOTA park chasing, antenna testing and perhaps working out some kinks in go-boxes, home-built batteries, and solar setups  See the map below for details or look for KG5EIU-9 on APRS.    There is no set stop time but will be there for at least 2-3 hours if not longer. Since this is a shine only event – if there is rain/weather in the area this event will be canceled. Keep you eye on this space for any udpates.
