If you’re a CW enthusiast, don’t forget that the CQ WW WPX CW Contest is going on right now! You can always check out the contest calendar to learn about other events.

HAM-COM is just around the corner! In just under 2 weeks, the club will need your help to staff our table. We’ll have a sign-up form available soon.

We’ll also have more information available soon on how to help with Field Day. Our entire June Meeting will be devoted to planning that event…come on out and see us on June 6th!

The club will have a surprise net this Monday at 7:00 PM on the 146.88 repeater. What will it be? That’s a surprise!

In science and technology news, it looks like you no longer have to register your drone thanks to a court ruling this month.

It’s also impossible to prove that the world is flat using a level you get from the hardware store.

It looks like the dangerous ZIKA virus has been spreading in India.

If you participated in our last Geek Net, you are probably worried about computer security. You’ll be glad (or maybe frightened) to know that radio-controlled pacemakers aren’t hard to hack.

But to end on a good note, the annual list of the top 10 coolest new species is out…and they’re pretty cool!
