The DARC is planning a Winter Field Day 2018 outing. WFD 2018 runs for 24hrs starting 1 pm local Dallas time Jan 27, 2018. Additional details and rules on Winter Field Day can be found on the Winter Field Day Association site here.
This is a SHINE ONLY EVENT! (If it is precipitating Sat Jan 27, 2018 in any form the DARC will NOT be participating in the event) The plan for Winter Field Day 2018 is to operate outdoor portable (3O class) from Dreyfuss Point at White Rock Lake Park. The DARC wouldn’t run the whole 24 hours – we will setup at 10am and then get ready to get on the air at 1pm local time Will operate until 10pm Sat Jan 27, 2018 or until it gets to cold. Plan on arriving at Dreyfuss Point at White Rock Lake Park around 10:00am for setup the event officially starts at 1pm local time.
